First Baptism

Today I am going to take you back in the past. Charles wrote in his email and told us about a very speaicial Missionary Moment. The email was sent on November 3, 2008.

"Thanks for all of the Halloween stuff. My companion got a kick outa those ghosts and the card. .... Now I have a treat for you. This Saturday the 8th of November an investigator of the Lord's church is getting baptised!!!!!!! Her name is Felicia Limon she is married to a member and hasn't realy been interested in the church she just took the lessons because her husband wanted her to. But just after we got here she asked for a blessing before she had her baby and it really touched her and she wants to get baptised. She has already had her interview. (they have them a week in advance so they can anounce the baptism in church.) AND to top it all off guess who she asked to baptise her? ............................................................................................. yep it is yours truley I felt so happy when she asked. I am way excited and can't wait for Saturday."

Charles latter reported that the bapisim went well and the spirit was very strong. And that the Limon family was filled with the joy that comes through obedience to God's commandments.

Sunday Quote

"He who rolls up his sleeves seldom loses his shirt."
Anonymous
The call to serve a full time mission for the Lord Jesus Christ is a privilege offered to those who are faithful and worthy servants of the Lord. I believe that hard work in all the circumstances that a missionary encounters is one of the crucial elements that makes a young man successful in his day to day activities. The fruits of the labor from a hard worker in the vineyard bring forth the most flavorful and beautiful fruit that one can desire.
"Our missionaries are not salesmen, with wares to peddle; rather, they are servants of the Most High God, With a testimony to bear, truth to teach and souls to save."
President Thomas S. Monson
Young man roll up your sleeves and loose yourself in the work.
