The Speed of Time

I am not sure what or how the world time clock ticks, but it sure seems to move at variable speeds.  Elder Charles is now serving in his Mission's name sake, Tulsa, Oklahoma.  It took Charles a few days to adjust to the "big city" service life.  His last email expresses his love for the area.  He rides his beat up bike sometimes but mostly they race around the mission in their car.  WOW!  He now serves in two stakes where-as previously he has served in a ward or branch.  Geographically all the areas cover about the same square miles.  He is no longer in the little towns.  On mother's day he showed a few signs of home sickness but they have all but disappeared.  He has not mentioned a word about home in over a  month.  I suppose that is a good thing.  He must have his full heart into the work.  I believe he lives about two blocks from the mission home.
