Well life at the Robinson's has been hectic to say the least. Elder Charles is still serving in Willard, Missouri. He will get his third companion in this area on Friday. Transfers are always nerve racking. It looks like Elder Robinson's legacy will be that he served with a lot of different companions, but only in a few areas.
Elder Charles is moving through the culinary delicacies of the area. Two Sundays ago he had "Red-neck Road Kill Chile" for dinner at a members house. Yes, the deer was hit by a car and and taken home for supper. It was also "full of onions. YUCK!!" said Elder Charles. Life in the mission field. Ya gotta luv it.
Last Sunday he ate frog legs for dinner. He said, "when cooked they look like chicken and taste a little fishy."
They are working hard to teach and convert people to the Gospel. The going is tough.

I really liked these two stories from Elder Robinson's letter this week:
This week was crazy. In order to get an investigator to come to our church we had to go to her church it is James River Assembly of god. Wow I will tell you this if I went with the mindset of attending a gospel concert it would have been really fun but ya I really didn't feel comfortable listening to electric guitars and drums in hymns but she came to our and liked it so I hope that wasn't in vain.
Funny things this investigator Vicki Long has a son that lives in Springdale, AR and a couple months ago he had a yard sale at which he sold a George Foreman Grill to a set of Mormon missionaries..... sound familiar? Yep I bought her sons grill when I was in Springdale crazy isn't it?

July Brings New Hope
Charles is serving in Springdale, AR right now. He is exited about the progress Elder Miller and himself are having. Elder Miller is a clean type of guy and they spent a couple days cleaning the apartment. Charles says this is great he was getting tired of cleaning for three other missionaries alone. His attitude is very good right now. Elder Charles said: " We have a lot more appointments this week than ever before since I have come so that is good."
He spoke in church on Sunday for 20 minutes. Our silent Giant? Wow! Seems as though he is growing up and over coming his shyness.
Elder Robinson and Elder Miller helped on a service project to clean up the bishops property. They had a good time. They stacked all the fallen limbs and other junk into a large pile and then they had a bon fire. Charles had two ticks bite him and three others were crawling on him. He was able to get the all the ticks off him.
All in a good day's work.

Springdale is Rock'n
Charles is now settled in with his new companion named Elder Skyler Silcock who is from Idaho. There are two new room mates, who are Spanish speaking, living in the same apartment.
Charles wrote home about the funny circumstances surrounding a broken bike.
"Some thing I forgot to tell you about last week one of the Spanish Elders in our apt named Elder Miller. Well my companions bike has been broken and he was worried about breaking others bikes so I finally convinced him to ride mine and I would ride Elder Millers. Well we have been leaving our bike just sitting out side our apt. well it just so happens that the day we borrow his bike we got back at about 7:00 p.m. got picked up by our dinner got back at about 8:30 and his bike was gone someone stole it and my bike was right there the more expensive one I might add. So he flipped not really at us but just the fact someone stole it. So I found a place locked up my bike and it has been sitting there ever since. But the story gets better last Friday we went on exchanges and when Elder Miller and my companion were out and about they found his bike! So they called the police and got his bike back. The house it was at the people said a friend had dropped it off a few days before, ya right but no proof, and we were just glad to get his bike back."

Jumpn' Across the Boarder
On May 22, 2009 Elder Charles was transferred to the Harbor Ward in Springdale, Arkansas. They closed down the Poteau, OK area. There is only nine priesthood holders in the Poteau Branch. Springdale is a bike riding area. No car for now! Boo Hoo! Details will be coming.
