The Time Is Near

Today is Sunday July 11, 2010.  Elder Charles has less than six weeks in the mission field.  He will be flying home on August 27.  We are way excited to see our son.  He has served an honorable mission in a tough area.

Charles wrote home with a couple of quotes he jotted down from his mission tour with Elder ------- of the Seventy.  He talked about serving Jesus Christ through serving others by solving their problems.  He said; "To save a soul is a greater miracle than raising the dead."   The "law of sacrifice is giving ones life for Jesus Christ ... [The] law of consecration is living ones life for Jesus Christ."

In this the last dispensation of the fullness of times it is difficult to be obedient all of the time.  With the exponential boom in electronics life has become a ride on the "super highway".  Life moves at an alarming rate.  It is up to all of us to take the time out of our busy life style and contemplate the purpose of life and holding tight to the Iron Rod.  We have been counseled by modern prophets to take time every day to listen to that small still voice.  I pray that we all might live our life for our Savior Jesus Christ.
